I'm delighted to launch PRP Therapy at Aspire, an injectable aesthetics treatment using your very own platelet rich plasma – with multiple benefits from skin rejuvenation to promotion of hair growth.

Long used by orthapedic surgeons to help athletes recover quickly following injury, PRP is also highly effective at addressing signs of ageing, scarring and hair loss.

How does it work?

PRP supports your body's self-healing processes by using your own cells. The platelets in your blood contain growth factor proteins – which when injected, accelerate your body's natural production of collagen and elastin.

What does treatment involve?

PRP is extracted from a sample of blood taken from your arm and reinjected in the target area to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Using your own unique resources to repair and improve your skin tissue, the process of healthier looking skin begins.

What is it used for?

PRP helps address loss of elasticity and volume by stimulating your body's cells to produce new, healthy looking skin. Very effective in the often tricky to treat under eye area, it can increase skin's structural health.

Hair Restoration

One of the key uses of this treatment is to restore hair growth, particularly for alopecia, a common condition that causes hair follicles to shrink – by revitalising the hair follicle and stimulating microcirculation. You can see superb results in the above before and after photographs (not my patient).

The Benefits

PRP is effective at rejuvenating:

  • Lines and puffiness around the eyes
  • Face and cheeks
  • Hand rejuvenation
  • Décolletage lines
  • Neck wrinkles
  • Lips
  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage
  • Rosacea
  • Hair restoration

If you're interested in trying PRP for skin rejuvenation or hair restoration, please book a consultation at Aspire Aesthetics in Belfast.
